Dr. Mariam Annan , PsyD (UK)
Counselling Psychologist
I am a Counselling Psychologist who was born and raised in Lebanon, before moving to the UK where I completed my master’s and doctoral training. I worked in various settings in the UK, including the NHS and private practice. Throughout my 8 years of clinical experience, I have worked creatively with adults struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, work-related stressors and personality disorders.
Therapeutically, I adopt an integrative approach, as I believe every individual’s experience is unique; therefore, I tailor evidence-based interventions to meet these needs. Within my work, I harness a number of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.
I endeavour to hold a safe, trusting and a non-judgmental space, and will work with you to develop a shared understanding of your difficulties, set meaningful goals and work towards long- lasting change.
