Alia Qadri
Assistant Psychologist
I consider myself extremely privileged and lucky to have found my calling in the beautifully complex, Mental Wellbeing space. Born in Denmark, with Kurdish and Pakistani roots, I have my home and have come to resonate largely with the cultural diversity of Dubai.
I completed my BSc in Psychology with Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience at City, University of London, followed quickly by training in Psychotherapy Skills and Interventions at Regents University. I used the theoretical knowledge I had to work in various different settings, applying what I knew about the human mind and psychology to the best of my ability. I interned for 9 months under the Eating Disorder service at the Lighthouse Arabia, and shortly after began my personal and professional training in Life Coaching.
A very big part of my growth, which has paved the way for where I am today in my journey, must be credited to the challenges I faced in the path of finding and understanding myself and my mind.
Aside from currently being an independent Life Coach, I now fulfill my passion and align with my values on a daily basis, taking on the role as Assistant Psychologist, here at The LightHouse Arabia. My role is to guide clients in finding the right service, the right person, and the right guiding hand that best suits their needs. With my knowledge and personal experience, I am dedicated to making a difficult conversation an easier, smoother and more comfortable one for anyone that I encounter.
