This new support group is most suitable for women in perimenopause or menopause. It will take place online via Zoom.

“I just don’t feel like myself anymore.” Approximately 50% of the world’s population are women, and we spend one-third of our life in a space of menopause. Are we adequately prepared for stage of life? How many of us know and understand the 32 symptoms that women can experience? Menopausal transition (also known as perimenopause), and the changes that occur are real and impact us all - in the body and the mind, with strong connections to hormones and how we think, feel and respond. This phase in a woman’s life can last anywhere between 4 - 10 years, so it is naturally accompanied by many other life changes throughout, which can make it even more challenging, lonely and unsettling if not adequately supported.

WOMEN ATTENDING THIS SUPPORT GROUP WILL:

  • Be part of a safe space that normalizes and explores the physical and emotional changes you are experiencing.
  • Interact with like-minded women and expand our village for social support - helping to reduce stress levels and improve overall mental health.
  • Feel more prepared to navigate the transition, which can also be seen as an incredible time in a woman’s life.

Support Group Etiquette:

Participation and respect for the group and for others is important. Please ensure that your video camera is turned on for the full duration of the group, just as you would if you were seeing others face-to-face for an in-person group. Admission into the group will close 10 minutes after it has started. We thank you in advance and look forward to welcoming you.
